Octopus Energy Cash is an independent website with one simple job: helping UK households and businesses claim the £50 reward that Octopus Energy gives out through its official refer-a-friend scheme – and explaining the process honestly, without the jargon.

Why we built this site

We switched our own home to Octopus Energy in 2023, claimed the £50, and quickly realised the information online is often confusing, out of date, or written purely to grab a click. We wanted a straight-talking resource that explains exactly how the reward works, where people lose out, and how to make sure your credit lands.

Who's behind it

This site is run by Guy Darbyshire, based in London, UK. I’ve been an Octopus customer since 2023 and have referred dozens of friends and family. You can reach me any time via our contact page.
